Completed Masters Degree Programme Specializing in Data Science Engineering and Analytics in University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Research Interests

My research interests lie broadly in data science, where the potential of artificial intelligence and vision-based applications to revolutionize various fields and sectors excites me. My area of interest is creating cutting-edge techniques and algorithms that can use artificial intelligence and visual data to solve real-world problems. Among the subjects I'd like to learn more about are

Image and video analysis: The Primary objective is to create methods for identifying objects, recognising faces, deciphering scenes, identifying actions, and segmenting semantic information from images and videos. Applying these methods to other fields, like social media, education, healthcare, security, and surveillance, is something else I'm interested in doing.

Human activity recognition and behaviour prediction: The main goal is to create methods that, given video footage, can identify and forecast various human behaviours, including jogging, walking, dancing, fighting, and driving. Investigating the variables that affect human behaviour, such as motivation, context, personality, and mood, is another area of interest for me.

Human-computer interaction based on vision:Another research area is to develop and deploy systems that allow people to connect with computers naturally and intuitively by employing vision-based modalities such as body language, gestures, eye movements, and facial expressions. The psychological and social facets of human-computer interaction, such as user experience, engagement, emotion, and trust, are also subjected to further study.
